Introduction

FIO Protocol (FIO) is a decentralized request-for-payment layer that works across blockchains and wallets. Since its 2020 mainnet launch, FIO enables human-readable addresses and secure transaction memo fields through FIO Addresses and FIO Data. The FIO token is used to stake for domain and address registration, pay for on-chain transactions, and participate in protocol governance.
