Introduction

ACX is the governance token of Across Protocol, a bridge protocol for fast and cheap cross-chain transfers. Across uses a unique optimistic verification system where relayers provide instant liquidity and are verified through an optimistic challenge mechanism rather than waiting for lengthy finality confirmations. ACX holders participate in governance decisions regarding protocol parameters, fee structures, and treasury management. The protocol focuses on reducing bridge times and costs while maintaining security through its integration with UMA's Optimistic Oracle. ACX's tokenomics include staking rewards for relayers who provide liquidity across different chains, governance voting rights, and fee accrual from cross-chain transactions.
